This is GM's new redesign Cadillac CTS. This powerful and agile car will compete very well against its European rivals BMW, Mercedes Benz, Audi, etc. Everything is improved from the interior, exterior and the engine. The CTS-V will also be introduced. With 550 hp, 550 ft/lbs of torque, stiffer / lighter chassis and dynamic suspension, all-wheel drive, 6-speed gear box w/ paddle shifters, upgraded materials for less weight and luxury, the 2008/09 CTS-V will directly compete with the BMW M5, Mercedes E63 AMG, and Audi RS6.

My head inside the helmet feels thick and swollen like an overinflated football. And it's taking me so long to unfasten my helmet strap that I surely must be wearing winter gloves. I expected to be able to casually whip the helmet off between the 2009 Cadillac CTS-V that's just discombobulated my combobutates and the group of GM execs standing about 30 feet away.Awkwardly, I arrive still fumbling, sweating and disoriented. So much for the cool nonchalance I've been striving so hard to cultivate for these many years.Oh, also I'm nauseated. This is what happens once you've spent a couple laps in the passenger seat of the 2009 Cadillac CTS-V while being hurled around the test track at GM's proving ground in Milford, Michigan.

We've already seen a prototype of the 2010 CTS Coupe. Now take a look at the 2010 Cadillac CTS wagon.Caught testing inside GM's Milford proving grounds, this CTS wagon prototype reveals several of the major design details of the new five-door. Almost all of the original lines of the CTS sedan have been kept intact, including the small rear windows.A hastily snapped interior shot reveals relatively small quarter windows behind the C-pillars and huge D-pillars at each corner. Visibility won't be great, but the overall shape of the rear end looks to be in proportion to the rest of the car. There's a sizable cargo area behind the rear seat, so the CTS wagon will be a legitimate utility vehicle compared to some of the other sport wagons in its class.Expect to see the same engine lineup as the sedan, along with both rear- and all-wheel-drive models. Given that this version of the CTS is most likely aimed at generating European sales, a diesel power plant is probably in the works as well.Sales of the coupe are scheduled to begin next spring, so the 2009 Cadillac CTS wagon shouldn't be too far behind.
http://www.edmunds.com/insidel ne/do/GeneralFuture/articleId=125443We knew it wouldn't be long. Just months after its debut at the 2008 Detroit Auto Show, the 2010 Cadillac CTS Coupe is already well on its way to production. Caught while testing at GM's Milford proving grounds, this prototype of the Cadillac CTS coupe (or CTC, as it might be called) wore only light camouflage, a good indication that it won't change much compared to the concept. This doesn't come as a surprise, as Cadillac officials hinted as much when the car debuted as a concept. Nothing new is expected from the A-pillars forward because the coupe will get the same grille treatment and front clip as the CTS sedan. Although the concept had a pair of vertically stacked headlights with neon marker bulbs, the production version is expected to get more traditional xenon-gas items. If Cadillac really steps it up, maybe the CTC will be the first production car with full LEDs like the Escalade Platinum.Given the black camouflage over the rear end, there might be a few changes in store for the hindquarters of the CTS coupe. Hopefully the massive quarter panels will get slimmed down a little as they make this midsize coupe look clumsy from behind. The hatchbacklike profile isn't doing the CTS coupe any favors either, so maybe that will change, too. One thing that won't change is the location of the exhaust, as all these prototypes have the same center-mounted pipes as the concept.Don't expect many changes under the hood either. The 2010 Cadillac CTS Coupe will get the same lineup of engines as the sedan, so expect to see a choice of two V6s with both automatic and manual transmissions. All-wheel drive will most likely remain a sedan-only option, but the chances of a V-Series model are pretty good.Production of the 2010 Cadillac CTS Coupe will start in the spring of 2009, so you'll be able to buy this new Cadillac coupe starting early next summer.
Designers put a lot of thought into every aspect of a car, inlcuding the lighting. With new technological advances and creative-thinking from the CTS design team, the 2008 Cadillac CTS has one of the most innovative lighting systems around. At a recent Cadillac Press Event, automotive journalists were given an inside look at the CTS' lighting system. Kevin Smith, Cadillac Communication Director, John Howell, Cadillac Product Director and John Manoogian, Lead Exterior Designer were on-hand to explain the importance of great lighting.
